Not cheap, but looks quite nice as a pure storage solution. I have a couple of their single external enclosures and they've been very reliable. I wonder if they'd sell it unbundled if one asked very, very politely?

    Looks like fan access is pretty simple, so it probably wouldn't be hard to find out. Or to sub in a super-quiet replacement of choice.
