On a side note: I challenge anyone with good bass on their headphones to listen to that track and say that the bass at that point isn't "visceral" (NSFW -- "I don't give a fuck you fucking fuck" being amongst the lyrics). I've heard pretty much the same thing except a lot louder with a lot more pounding at a Slayer concert. Report
August 14, 200620 yr Author comment_16534 No, it sounds like just one very massive kettle drum hit...recorded in a cave...I don't think you guys are hearing it. It's like the bass was off for the rest of the song, and suddenly the subwoofer turns on...except I was listening on headphones. Report
August 16, 200620 yr comment_16637 On my admittedly substandard computer setup it sounds like someone turned on the megabass boost for that little stretch of drumming. Sounds like normal bass drums, but with the bass turned way up. Report
