  1. Hincapie is awesome. Too bad Garmin went out of their way to stop him from riding in the yellow jersey for a day.

We won't know about any doping results until much later considering how long it took them to find evidence of CERA during the Giro. Most of the riders are still cheating in some shape or form, but at the same time, cycling is still 10x cleaner than 90% of the professional sports out there. I'd love to see how baseball or football reacts to having the biological passport program. The passport is pretty tough to beat, and even if you do beat it, it's debatable that what you're using isn't really going to help after all.

  2. Completely forgot I started this topic. I kept up with the race by watching the live video streams off my laptop.

About Contador being self-serving...of course he is, and so is Lance. However, the difference is that Lance followed the split while Alberto was the one who dropped his own teammate.

While it hasn't officially been decided, I would be shocked if Bruyneel didn't direct Team RadioShack.

I can't wait for next year. Alberto will most assuredly be the favorite, but the Schleck brothers and LA will be there at the end again.

  3. the new (or, at least new to me) Dogfish Head Aprihop is pretty tasty. if you like Magic Hat #9 (which i do) imagine that beer, but with less apricot, and just a whole lot more of, well, everything else. big beer, but smooth and refreshing and easily quaffed.

Hmm, with that kind of description, I'll have to try that out.

Yeah the Circus Boy wasn't very good the one time I tried it. Haven't had any other Magic Hat beers since Bonnaroo in '06 but they were damned tasty. There was one limited release type thing that they had a keg of, called Chaotic Chemistry and I hit it at least 20 times over the weekend. I see that's a regular brew for them now, it was advertised as a one-off at the festival. I need to get my hands on some eventually but it's not distributed here yet.

Really? Damn. I don't recall seeing that there.

Where did you find a distribution listing?

  4. I thought this season was pretty disappointing. The chefs (outside of Stefan, Jeff, and Jamie) were pretty mediocre. Not to say I wouldn't enjoy eating in their restaurants, but these chefs (including the top) are a step below seasons 3 & 4.

  5. Depends if you care or not about the (shitload of) loose ends, but the concept is very original compared to most TV shows and it keeps me on the edge of me seat most of time. I have to say though that I watched the first three seasons on DVD and it would probably have been more frustrating if I had watched it live because the episodes rarely leave you with answers, only more questions.

The season 3 finale was amazing.

Consistently good = BSG (minus a few episodes that were real duds :palm: )

BSG was really good (particularly season 2) up to the first few episodes of season 3...then it went really mediocre for a while. It's coming back, but boy, did it take a while.

  6. They won't repeat any classes for the 2 remaining unknown ones--it's already been confirmed.

I intentionally stopped paying attention to d3 coverage because I'm pretty sure it would have driven me crazy for the next two years.
