I hope it runs faster than the ubuntu version for netbooks

I almost ordered this, but looking at some of the problems posted in that thread. Im glad I didn't.

Very nice casing. What does the switch on the back near the inputs do? Input selector?

I also don't want and can't really afford to put money into an unheard amp. I have the C-2C and for me it was a good first desktop amp, though now I am itching to upgrade, or try something else.I wouldn't drop that kind of money on an unknown amp (debug button? wtf) without at least a single review/listen from a trusted source. I was unimpressed with the sound of the C2C, although I guess its a decent buy for the money. However, the used M3 I got is head and shoulders above it and cost me $50 more..insyte: The Stax rig I'm using is about $1000-worth, so it's certainly better value IMO than a serious balanced rig. I had previously written off the idea of a balanced rig when I found out that I'd need $2k or thereabouts to have a balanced Beta 22 built.
Well the the SRM-717 alone would already cost near $1K, I was thinking of just starting with an entry level SS Stax amp because I'm not really sure if Im going to like it

I am also tempted to order this, as a starting point in going balanced. But I might just buy a pre-owned entry level stax rig that will fit in my budget.

That there is a rule in the other forum that linking to or mentioning of head-case is not allowed.
I actually just mentioned head-case as we were talking about what (mbd) Ruckus posted here recently. Though the mod was polite enough to tell me that he edited/deleted some of my posts
Anyway, I know most of you guys already know about that rule, but I was really surprised that such a rule exists and is being implemented very strictly.
I actually searched the other site for posts using the term head-case and, most of the results were links to the smilies used in this forum, I guess those are allowed

Funny link, brought me out of lurk mode
Well Im also new here, so just read around first before posting anything Lots of info in this site to keep you busyLOL,don't be such a douchebag, I was searching on many sites, but I'm afraid that isn't enough. That's why I'm asking people on this forum which is known for nice suggestions. -
You never judge a product by people's impressions. Its their ears, not yours. And besides I think that some have already highlighted that its a very personal preference.
I personally tried the W3 before, but it wasn't to my taste. That's just me however.
For all you know this might just be your perfect IEM, or the crappiest one.
I guess you're right, but no one has taken the plunge here locally so i haven't tried it yet.
It's going to be quite expensive to pay for shipping the item back if I didn't like it, though I guess I could sell it. But nah, seeing at how many westone 3's suddenly appeared in the FS section in the other site after it wasn't the flavor of the month anymore, kinda tells me that it isn't the IEM that everyone was hoping for.
Just like the HD800, I hope its not just hyped up. I was also hoping the forums here would bash the esw10 so I wouldn't be tempted (since Ive already heard the esw9), but my wallet seems to be disappointed with what I've read here

Read through the thread, just glad I didn't order the westone 3, cause from the impressions here, I also don't think its for me

Was looking for another review of the westone 3, glad i found the thread here, saved me some money
