  1. You did not, and that is correct, because what you're missing is at the end.

    You're welcome,

    Capt. Obvious

I did. I know. I was just too thick to originally make the connection which probably had something to do with the fact that I hadn't seen the original droid commercial. I get it now.

    Thank you,

    :)

  2. So I just picked up my iphone 3gs yesterday and I'm loving it. The only issue I'm having is that I picked up a switcheasy rebel case to go with it and the 3.5mm connector on the jh13 pros won't fit because of the hard plastic part of the case. It prevents the connector from fitting flush in the headphone jack.

Anyone (specifically jh13pro owners) have any suggestions for alleviating this rather big problem? What kind of cases are you guys using?

  3. Really nice, Larry. Just curious why you didn't go for a black cord?

When I last received my jh13s I got a letter from Jerry that said they were out of black cords and that they'd be mailing some out when they had more. I received my jh13s last Friday. I'm not sure if Larry asked for black or not, but that may be why he doesn't have it.

  4. I'm glad to hear your enjoying them Vicki. Do you find them to be significantly better out of your Denon+pico than straight out of your pico?

I'm still waiting on mine to get back to me. Adam told me that mine were shipped out Wed. morning but that he couldn't remember if they overnighted them or sent them 2-day. Here it is Saturday night and yet I still don't have them :(. I hope they weren't lost.

  5. No one said the whole family had to live in the same neighborhood :smartass:

There definitely needs to be an emoticon for smart ass. Perhaps the ass from the beloved asshat emoticon with a pair of glasses and a mortarboard?

  6. Yeah, I guess I just find it aggravating that I would have to be deprived of something I've been waiting 6 weeks for, because THEY made a mistake. Boo hoo, right? But it still chaps my hide a bit.

The do sound fucking fantastic though! The more I listen, the less and less I want them to go anywhere! :D

I completely understand the sentiment and I don't think it's at all unreasonable to feel that way. I know I did.

As for your assessment of the sound, I could not agree more :).

  7. I wouldn't hesitate to send them back at all. I had asked for black shells with neon green artwork and received neon green shells with black artwork. I called up Adam last Wednesday to tell him about the issue, my iems got to him on Friday and when I called this morning he told me that they shipped out today and I should get them tomorrow. All in all, I've been without my jh13s for a week, but I didn't really mind the wait. If you don't mind waiting, I'd go ahead and send them back.

  8. Frances did my impressions as well. She was great to talk to and a really cool person. I guess Jordin Spark's bass player was having some impressions sent to Jerry so she just mailed mine with his and I didn't have to pay for shipping :). The only thing that sucked (and I knew it would) was parking. It's cool if you don't mind paying, but the few public parking garages fill up rather fast and it can be a bit of a pain finding a spot in the middle of the day.

  9. I like all kinds of stuff, I was trying to be funny. When I listen to rap lately, it's blackalicious, talib, mos def, gang starr, k'naan, and noel zancanela.

And eric b and rakim :)

A man after my own heart :). Actually the only artist on that list I'm unfamiliar with is Noel Zancanela. I'll have to enlighten myself.

As for me, in addition to the majority of the above artists, I listen to a fair amount of Outkast and Lupe Fiasco. If you like Talib Kweli, I'd wager that you'll also like Lupe Fiasco. They're not entirely similar stylistically, but I find the quality of their lyrics to be top notch.

  10. Here's my post from the other site about my initial impressions:

I picked up mine last night from a UPS center by my house as the delivery guy failed miserably at knocking on my door.

Anyway, the whole time I was opening the box I was thinking to myself "I hope everything is ok with these so I don't have to ship them back." Lo and behold, I was staring at neon green iems with black artwork as opposed to the black iems with neon green artwork that I asked for. It was disappointing, to say the least, but as I didn't buy these to stare at but rather to listen to, I figured I might as well give them a shot at their intended purpose before I got too upset.

These are my first pair of customs and so it took me a little bit of time to get them seated correctly (or what my approximation of correctly was after having looked at Edwood's pics). It's an interesting feeling wearing customs. It's not wholly uncomfortable, but certainly more invasive than wearing earbuds which are the only other type of audio device I've ever had in my ears. It's definitely something I think I'll have to get used to.

As for the sound, let's just say it greatly lessened the disappointment I was feeling :). The bass is incredible to my ears. Neither the quantity nor the impact are overwhelmingly present, but it is very well defined. My frame of reference isn't as vast as a lot of members, but these iems resolve complex passages better than any headphone I've owned so far. I've listened to them for approximately 3 hours since I've received them and I've loved every minute of it.

I really want to get the color issue sorted out, but I'm not sure I want to part with them for the time it will take to do so :). They sound really really good.
