Founders Backwoods Bastard...this time from a bottle...
I definately prefer the '10...this year seems lighter in body & makes it drink even more closely to North Coast Old Stock Reserve...
Sun King Westy California Common...served to me in an incorrect glass...think this is 8 or 9 ounces...maybe they just treat all their “Visiting Draughts” this way...quickly moved onto a 20 ounce Bob to correct the disparity...
^^yum...I'm back home with leftovers from earlier in the week...was hoping to get back to my friend's house to help him kill some kegs, but I don't wanna smell like a campfire again for a while...
^^Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan has a new beer called White Hoplosion that I'd like to try...haven't seen it around yet...
& I think a Quad is next in the Ovila series...Cheers...
Jolly Pumpkin Calabaza Blanca...
then we killed the keg of Arrogant Bastard on tap in my friend's garage...so then he put on a keg of Founders Breakfast Stout:)...
I had a Fresh Hop version of Deschutes Mirror Pond...& some Glenlivet Nadurra...
he's trying to kill a few of his kegs before the deep freeze...I'm hoping to stop by again tomorrow...
home now & having some Flat12 Half Cycle (IPA) Reserve...their usual aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels....got a growler...not bad...
Sam Adams Tasman Red...
not great, but not bad either...no complaints for a $7 bomber (that's cheap for Indy)...
my wish is that someone in this thread'll name their child Peat...
^^just an FYI, Westvleteren 12 is coming to the U.S. next year via Shelton Brothers...probably a one time deal to raise money for the monastery...
same six packs with glass that they recently sold in supermarkets for €25...it's expected to be over $100 when it hits here ~April...
I sent him enough for that post to be accurate:)...& I'm sendin' you a lil' somethin' you might like...
moved onto a Thomas Hardy's Ale...one that I normally avoid due to price...but they broke up a 4-pack for me...this one's a 2008...
had a flight of Triton Brewing beers...they're yet another new Indiana brewery (we won our bid for the next beer bloggers conference btw)...I'd say Wheat > IPA > > Stout > Amber, but none were worth writing home about...
sampled Mad Pumpkunhead...heh...
now a pint of FFF Pride & Joy...
