I see that the cable on this old pair of O2, mk1 headphones looks different than on more recent models. Are these old cables inherently inferior and prone to issues? When you say the drivers were removed, do you mean: (1) removed, cleaned, and reinstalled, or (2) removed and replaced with new drivers? Thanks for your input, Birgir.

I bought this pair, Ricky. I didn't care about it being the 4th pair, but was looking for an early pair in the 70xxx serial number. I thought the price range for 007,mk1 was $1600 to $2200, depending on condition. Am I wrong?

Tyll, I've read mixed results about K1000 and FirstWatt F1. Do you recall which FirstWatt amp you liked K1000 with? (Long time lurker, first post, rip me a new one.)
