  1. lol

I think the 'its not going well' mentality is just a cop out for responsibility. But it sure would be easier to make everything legal. As far as 'only harming themselves'...tell that to the parents of children who have overdosed. Tell that to the people who die from fire and asphyxiation from the tenant below them who had a meth lab explosion.

  2. I guess iffy or not, they seem pretty important to me. You take them out of the loop, and I'm willing to bet you'd see a drop in drug smuggling via cars from Mexico.

This is all well above my pay grade, but it seems like you can't just go in and make sweeping changes without severe consequences. I really dont want to present myself as 'clued in', because I'm not, but thats just my overall impression. I guess I'll just say that most of what I've heard him say gives me great pause.

  3. I'm no economist, but I dont understand Ron Paul at all. He seems crazy to be honest. I hate taxes, dont get me wrong, but talk about pipe dreams.

How many years have all the candidates been promising to balance the budget? Still waiting on that one, lol. And he plans to replace tax income via import/export terriffs, if I'm not mistaken. How does he plan on paying for anything local? And you cant just stop using the coast guard, FFS.

I know Fox news is considered the joke of news for most people, but the truth is all the stations are biased in some way or another. Chris Matthews? He's not a journalist. He's a commentator, as far as I'm concerned. MSNBC is way, way more biased than Fox ever was. They just happen to be biased towards democrats. The liberal media really does a great job convincing everybody FOX is so biased, when in fact, its usually a knee-jerk reaction from those stations, who are all biased towards the liberal, in my opinion. FOX just happens to be less biased the same way, so everybody just assumes that they are skewed ones.

  4. No argument there.

But still, this is just way too much money for way too little product, even by Apple standards.

The Mac Pro just got a hell of a lot more tempting, for me at least.

1200 for SSD... its cheaper just to keep buying the hard drives, and break them multiple times, or hell, buy multiple laptops, than to invest in the added security of solid state.

Also, with MAC, its 'want', not 'need', at least for me.

  5. For me, its seeing acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel in concert in 2004 in The Chet Atkins Appreciation Society, in Tennessee. (I used to play fingerstyle guitar as a hobby during college; not as much anymore). He put on one hell of a show. Its not even funny how good he is. His CDs dont really show his full potential; live is the best way to hear him. Its just short of a religious experience.

Before that, it was seeing Blues Traveler play a non-stop 45 minute medley of songs in one of their concerts. John Popper took about 2 breaths the entire time. That was very cool too.
