I guess iffy or not, they seem pretty important to me. You take them out of the loop, and I'm willing to bet you'd see a drop in drug smuggling via cars from Mexico.
This is all well above my pay grade, but it seems like you can't just go in and make sweeping changes without severe consequences. I really dont want to present myself as 'clued in', because I'm not, but thats just my overall impression. I guess I'll just say that most of what I've heard him say gives me great pause.

I'm no economist, but I dont understand Ron Paul at all. He seems crazy to be honest. I hate taxes, dont get me wrong, but talk about pipe dreams.
How many years have all the candidates been promising to balance the budget? Still waiting on that one, lol. And he plans to replace tax income via import/export terriffs, if I'm not mistaken. How does he plan on paying for anything local? And you cant just stop using the coast guard, FFS.
I know Fox news is considered the joke of news for most people, but the truth is all the stations are biased in some way or another. Chris Matthews? He's not a journalist. He's a commentator, as far as I'm concerned. MSNBC is way, way more biased than Fox ever was. They just happen to be biased towards democrats. The liberal media really does a great job convincing everybody FOX is so biased, when in fact, its usually a knee-jerk reaction from those stations, who are all biased towards the liberal, in my opinion. FOX just happens to be less biased the same way, so everybody just assumes that they are skewed ones.

I have an eye on the Drobo unit myself. I need multiple drives. Plus the ability to use different brands and sizes is awesome. Not looking forward to paying for it though. I have little interest in the NAS companion set either. I just need pure music backup.

Thin is nice, but what I really wanted was an 11 or 12" screen.
This basically fails on all levels for me. Wrong screen size, wrong storage type, wrong storage price, wrong battery, wrong DVI connector, no Ethernet, wrong price overall, ...sigh.

No argument there.
But still, this is just way too much money for way too little product, even by Apple standards.
The Mac Pro just got a hell of a lot more tempting, for me at least.
1200 for SSD... its cheaper just to keep buying the hard drives, and break them multiple times, or hell, buy multiple laptops, than to invest in the added security of solid state.
Also, with MAC, its 'want', not 'need', at least for me.
-
For $3k, I'll take the Mac Pro with 8 cores and 4 hard drive bays over this hunk-o-crap.
SSD should be standard at the base model price.
Goddammit.

aardvark want replaceable battery. aardvark no get
$3000+ w/ the SSD option. Pffffffffft.
The whole point of LED and SSD is durability....which is now moot.
Apple snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

For me, its seeing acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel in concert in 2004 in The Chet Atkins Appreciation Society, in Tennessee. (I used to play fingerstyle guitar as a hobby during college; not as much anymore). He put on one hell of a show. Its not even funny how good he is. His CDs dont really show his full potential; live is the best way to hear him. Its just short of a religious experience.
Before that, it was seeing Blues Traveler play a non-stop 45 minute medley of songs in one of their concerts. John Popper took about 2 breaths the entire time. That was very cool too.

You know I should clarify, these are still 16 bit, the remastering was 24 bit. The labels are misleading.

Here is what the wave form sections look like in Wavlab lite, for anyone interested.
In this case, its The Double Up and Hey Chico, from Lee Morgan's Charisma album [blue Note RVG 24 Edition]
Theres some nice breathing room in there

Its a long story, but I've got 2 picos on the way, though I don't know how long the queue is.
I'll probably use one in the office, and one in a bedroom rig, when I get an apartment in the next few months

I like me some Fear Combat.

I can tell everyone from personal experience: dont bother getting anything for an ipod mini. Horrid sounding player.
-
Is there anything that says the devices you linked to use the digital out of the ipod or do they merely accept it as an analog input?

I think this is from the 80's, but dont take that as gospel.

I think the 'its not going well' mentality is just a cop out for responsibility. But it sure would be easier to make everything legal. As far as 'only harming themselves'...tell that to the parents of children who have overdosed. Tell that to the people who die from fire and asphyxiation from the tenant below them who had a meth lab explosion.
