Probably only interesting to Chris, but this is what I get on Garmin Connect. It shows my balance is a bit off to the left. I guess I need to try to pay attention to that as I assumed it would be the opposite.
-
Hopefully Justin will have our HC Jersey kits together by then.
-
Looks like registration is up on that website.
-
Maybe you can ride with Justin and I when the rest tear out at 25MPH for their centuries Mike. Is this Sebring thing official, e.g. sign up, etc. active?
-
Great work Dan. I guess you never found a way to get Suunto stuff on Strava?
-
Sounds like fun riding at speed for all those miles, I just wish I was up to something like that. Nice of Strava to update their interface to show more Power Meter data. Just a short ride as it was pretty windy and the trail was packed with old people that demanded to start from every stop at a full wobble and ride head on to oncoming cyclists. It was good to see someone went through and wiped out all the Strava Hazardous flags some asshole had done on my local trail keeping me from keeping track of my times.

I will probably go out for a short test. Riding by myself is too boring. We did discuss a HC meet at the NAHBBS next year in Charlotte. I intend to try to make it and Justin thinks he can get down there for the event. Seems like a decent place to meet for some riding and ogling bikes. Anyone else interested?

I have changed a lot since my fitting as well. Maybe it is all just a scam?
-
Any chance the seat height had slipped gradually over time?

Some finished shots of the Garmin install. Added almost 200 grams of weight over the carbon Looks.

I ended up going back to the shop and having the Vectors installed on the Calfee. I figure I can use it there while I await the revised pods for the Cervelo. The 800 is already making calibration a bit more difficult as the instructions only speak to 810 and I do not have some of the menu items they are listing. Chris, done calibrating and everything works as expected, including balance percentages.

Justin is getting Mad Fibers. Great ride, though I was in poor form. I did manage to beat John Fox on the climb so I feel like a superstar even if he was not aware when he did the climb that he would eventually be racing me. Justin killed it on the new bike and blew me away on the first big climb that kicked my ass. I had nothing. My legs felt like rocks for most of the first half of the ride.

Yeah it looks like plenty of clearance on those. The DA are well over the 38 max that Garmin supports but it is definitely narrower than the FSA so it probably has room for the cord to plug all the way in. On mine the pod was not touching the crank arm with three washers. But with the three washers the little connector cord would not reach to engage the plug.
-
It works for Red, not Dura Ace. Red is a much thinner Crank Arm.
-
Yeah I gave up. All I left with is a scraped up carbon crank arm.
-
We tested it on a few setups. The Vectors will not work on the Dura-Ace crank as it is too wide but it will work on stock SRAM Red, barely. Anything over 38mm wide will not work until they get a new version of the pod prepared. We tested it with the Garmin 800 on a R3 with Rotor crank arms that worked and could not get the left pedal to show. The right pedal would work but it was showing nothing for left. The 810 that the store manager associated with the power meter showed both.
-
There is not enough connection cable once you put on the washers so the thing will not connect and power up the PM.
-
It will only fit on a crank arm of 38mm or less. Basically skinny stuff. The 44 FSA will not work.
-
Fail. Evidently the Garmin will not fit on my thick FSA carbon crank arms. The POS pod binds against the crank arm when tightened down.
-
Back at the shop getting Vectors number 2 installed. Wish me luck.

The softer Calfee would probably be more comfortable on the rough roads. I keep thinking I need to take out the Calfee but each time I go to pick a bike there is never any desire to take the heavy bike. I need to start taking it on trips so it actually gets used. Add to that the fact that I haven't ridden in weeks I am probably leaning towards the Cervelo.
-
11-26. I never find the gear I want with the 11-28 on a compact.
-
But if I took the Calfee I would have to switch out wheels sets/brake pads because I really do not like the 11-28 cassette and I want to put the Calfee on a diet.

I have a hammer you can borrow.
