  1. On a lighter and less important note:

Yesterday I put back together a door frame that had been ripped apart when a visitor of ours tried to close a screen door that was locked open. :palm:

The day before that I managed to fix the CD drawer on my Linn Classik that has been broken for years. All it was was a simple loose rubber belt internal to the mechanism. Some belt conditioner fixed it right up. Very glad because it seemed to be a custom transport. Yay for working beloved electronics and saving money.

  2. The pole was on the passenger side and not visible from within the car. I turned as I backed out and it nailed my front door and quarter panel. Only place it was visible was the passenger mirror (which I should have checked). I figured since it was at least moderately understandable why I hit it that it was about Brent level.

  3. Shelly I'm currently living through poorly done home inspection hell so I'll fully agree that a good inspector is worth his/her weight in gold.

Me: got text from contractor informing me that I need a professional electrician ASAP because the wiring is wrong and there is a fire hazard.

  4. Good luck Shelly!

better to move your counters than to have a too small fridge [emoji4]

We went with a smaller fridge. Should be there Saturday. Lowes customer service is the bomb and we can use the incorrect one until then.

Lots of moderately expensive hidden problems with the house adding up to some immediate pain but it will be good in the long run. For example we weren't supposed to be buying a fridge at all but when we got to the walk through it wasn't there and the guy claimed it was broken.
