Dusty Chalk Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Alright, so I recently found out that Manga released a dub of this in the UK -- does anyone know if Dreamworks has any plans to negotiate something similar for the US? Or should I just go ahead and get the UK version? Also, according to the Wiki page, if the DVD says "V4" on the spine, then the subtitling is corrected (I.E. it's no longer the closed captioned version). Hirsch, you should do this. Then, you'd at least get the non-intrusive subtitles, for free, no less.
Dusty Chalk Posted March 24, 2006 Author Report Posted March 24, 2006 I have to say: I love Babelfish -- "Ghost in the Shell" gets translated back from the Kanji as "The Vision Right of Shellfish". (And, apparently, the original Kanji for what I thought was "Ghost in the Shell" was "Mobile Armoured Riot Police"...good thing I didn't get that tattoo, neh?)
