February 10, 200818 yr Ok, I'm currently looking at the Audioengine A5s since they're like a combo amp. I don't have a good place to put these speakers so I think I should start small, and get speaker/integrated amps etc after I'm done with these. The main problem is my room(s) don't have a good place for the speakers but that should be fine for now. Reks reccomended the A5s I think so I looked into it. Any ideas? Like should I go for it? or anything else you guys reccomend? I'm trying to stay away from hi-fi speaker systems atm. so anything combo should be good. Budget is maybe.. $300-600, really depends what it is that I'm getting. I need to patch up my headphone rig first anyways..

Sweetspot listening? Close to wall, or pulled out in the rooom? What are you looking for (soundstage, prat, etc.)? What will you be listening to, on it?

I might get a HDTV in the family room.. it should be ok with speakers, since its centered on the wall, but thats about it..
