Nenso Buying Speakers! Help!!

Featured Replies

Ok, I'm currently looking at the Audioengine A5s since they're like a combo amp. I don't have a good place to put these speakers so I think I should start small, and get speaker/integrated amps etc after I'm done with these. The main problem is my room(s) don't have a good place for the speakers but that should be fine for now. Reks reccomended the A5s I think so I looked into it. Any ideas? Like should I go for it? or anything else you guys reccomend?

I'm trying to stay away from hi-fi speaker systems atm. so anything combo should be good. Budget is maybe.. $300-600, really depends what it is that I'm getting.

I need to patch up my headphone rig first anyways..

Go active.

There's also about a Brazillian questions you should be asked -- and you should be asking yourself -- such as, nearfield/midfield/farafield/outfield? Sweetspot listening? Close to wall, or pulled out in the rooom? What are you looking for (soundstage, prat, etc.)? What will you be listening to, on it?

i have guitar lessons so i gtg, but .. ill type something quick

I was gonna use it like in my room but I'm using the laptop in a corner, but I think I should wait it out. I might get a HDTV in the family room.. it should be ok with speakers, since its centered on the wall, but thats about it..

Anything more "value" worth at the $500-600 range?
