I believe it's just for Sennheiser Europe.

Also, I wouldn't add too much weight to it.

Sennheiser in Australia recommend the Lehmann Black Cube Linear, I consider it no coincidence that the Australian distributors for Sennheiser and Lehmann are the same company.

I don't know what it's like in other parts of the world.
