PS Audio Ultralink

Featured Replies

I've been exchanging e-mail with Barrows over at PS Audio about the DL-III I have and how it handles high sample rate data streams through the SRC. He mentioned that PS Audio is looking to release a new Ultralink DAC.

We are really excited about the new Ultralink. This DAC is a very upscale product for us, with very sophisticated power supply design, a totally new super high precision clock circuit (actually two independent clocks to support both 48 kHz, and 44.1 kHz base rates). Two dual differential DAC chips running in dual mono mode to reduce noise, distortion, and provide better channel separation. The analog output section is going to be really great, featuring precision matched super low noise FETs, and PRP resistors. We are also going to have a very flexible upsampling, allowing the user to select 88.2, 96, 176.4, or 192 kHz upsampling. When used with the matching Perfect Wave Transport for playing CDs one will also be able to play in

Music Direct had it in their latest catalog at a provisional $1,999. They said it was seven flavors of awesome and you should buy it (from them). :)
