June 30, 200620 yr Perhaps this will be an interesting idea.. is it possible to create a up/down rating system to downrate trolls and uprate people who contribute useful information? It could be as simple as another number called "karma" in addition to postcount that's displayed.. users could perhaps choose to give or take this away. I know digg / slashdot uses this, and some forums also have this.. though I cant think of a high traffic site that does this, this forum has a similar system.. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/index.php? (a forum for a robotics competition) This way trolls and such could easily be buried.. Is this sane? possible? am I god's punishment for a bad world? let the replies begin.
