April 11, 200917 yr Thinking about it. If the control advantage of the buslink to the 909 is simply being able to turn it off (because the variable outs from the CDP-2 or the 99-Pre apply for either the Quadlink or the RCA outs) then I wouldn't connect it at all. I'd just leave the amp on 24/7.

I'd just leave the amp on 24/7. true. so what I can do is run the short quadlink from the CDP-2 to the 99 just for remote control purposes, and leave all else the same. sweet, I'm glad we had this talk. sloth, nice shots. which quads are those? look to new to be 63s. April 13, 200917 yr Author so when the CDP-2 has both the quadlink and RCA outs plugged in, the RCA outs are defeated. \ however, the sound has been OK. I'm going to run the quadlink for a little bit then go back to regular cables and see if I notice a difference.
