June 18, 201016 yr Would it be possible to put the drive in an external enclosure, attach to a different computer, delete the appropriate executables, and then try cleaning it? Just thinking outside the box, might be useless suggestion. (In my case, I'd just boot to my linux partition, mount the windows partition, and work on it that way.) Thanks for the advice Dusty, but you do realize you are posting for me right? I can hardly figure out how to boot up programs; If I didn't have a mouse, I would would be limited to just playing Donkey Kong all evening .

June 18, 201016 yr It seems to be active then lay dorment for a period then get active again. Usially when I link on my MSN home page, very wierd.
June 21, 201016 yr Iv fought this twice. Malwarebytes is the software to remove it with. The hard part is managing to install malwarebyes and letting it run, because sometimes this virues blocks malwarebytes.
June 21, 201016 yr Boot the system using UBCD and run Malwarebytes directly from there. The virus/malware can't block it if it's not running

June 25, 201016 yr This isn't the same malware as the AV ? I never saw the antivirus soft scan popup I just had ie browser redirects start happening with no warning or email attachments.
