Audeze LCD-2

Some great pics of the newer version LCD-2's (which I am listening to as I write this) - couldn't help but also notice your Van Gogh 'Cafe' print - me and the missus have had the same on our walls for past few decades. Pleased to hear that the Van Gogh art theft from yesterday has been re4covered and will hopefully be back on display in Cairo's musuem. Although the $50 million work would look great on my music room walls. Audeze and Van Gogh, if only VIncent had both ears to appreciate.

Audeze LCD-2

With my LCD-2s comin' in later this week I thought that I'd read all 26 pages of the thread to see what I am to expect - - and I have come away with the realization that once I have them I will need be watching a few good Texas Ranger episodes while calmly seated with KwKwarths nieces contemplating the merits of leather and BDSM headphones while sipping scotch with cream soda chasers and dining on lightly buttered toast. Hmmm.
3. Well, my Airbow SR-SC-1's just came in a couple of hours ago and it looks like I'm not going to bed anytime soon. Been listenin' to Alan Parsons Project and Air's Moon Safari and like wow! These are so smooth, transparent and effortless, you can listen to them for hours. Currently running them through a SRM-1/MK-2 C Version since my SRM-T1 hasnt come in yet. Gonna try them tomorrow from an SRD-7 Mk 2 and my Technics SU-V5. They don't have the 404 etch and treble is somewhat more tamed. Bass is deep and tight with punch. I don't know how these compare to the 404LE's having never heard them, but they certainly blow away my 404 signatures. Too bad these aren't marketed outside of Japan...these are keepers!
4. Then my weak link at the moment you say is my Cambridge DacMagic? If so, then what recommendation(s) before I go the O2 route?
5. In a few months i t will be 37 years for me and the missus.
6. Still warm homemade peanutbutter cookies.
7. ThanX manaox2 - now have a Cambridge DacMagic .... and thoroughly enjoying the Stax experience..

Can you post the thread?

ATH-ESW9

At my last mini-meet, we were able to A-B both the ESW9 and ESW10JPN side by side out of the two headphone jacks from a Total Bithead . . . abd the ESW10JPN won hands down - much fuller, deeper bass and motre impact.
10. Okay - I have an SR-Lambda (normal bias) and SRM-1/MK-2 (Version C) coming in any day now and even before I get them I'm thinking of Stax upgradeitis - any suggestions as to how to tweek this combo - - and where do I go from here?
11. Cool - thanx. I'll try to be a little more discerning and reflective. I've been into music since the mid '60s, and have only recently started into the whole audiophile/headphone thing (and am lovin' it..even though it is quickly emptying my wallet..and my family's patience). Seems to be some VERY knowledgeable users on head-case ... just reading a few threads recently has made me aware of my own ignorance and that I have a lot yet to learn and a long ways to go - hopefully it will continue to be an enjoyable ride. Thanks for the welcome and advice - it will be heeded.
12. Not that fast - I'm stickin' around FOR SURE!
13. I'm truly sorry for asking a question - and also my apologies for being a newbie - guess I'll just refrain from trying to participate in a new site/forum and just return to head-fi where the welcome is a little friendlier - my sincere apologies.
14. Now I'm down to the following two choices for a DAC - both are around the same price. 1. Little Dot DAC 1 - brand new USB DAC just released this month from Little Dot' - around $300 OR 2. Parasound DAC-1000 - 15 years old used/good condition - original cost $775...used around $300 I am a novice and this will be my first DAC to be used in conjunction with my computer as source (ASUS P5Q-EM Motherboard). Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanx
