who's to say it wasn't the magical star fairies.
-
then it likely wasn't x, because x is pretty safe (in fact, it's about as risky as horse back riding). a lot of things, such as strong amphetamines, get sold as ecstasy.
sure, but that's the problem, you don't know what it cut with. until the FDA regulates it, it can be anything.
i've worked in a Medical ICU and ER for 10 years, i'll be the last one to argue with you about the damage of alcohol. i also see suicide attempts daily, with OTC and prescribed. these drugs will be more deadly if taken in large doses for the purpose of inducing multi-system organ failure. MDMA is not the drug of choice for a suicide attempt. also, who's to say that MDMA in combo with other drugs wasn't the precipitating drug.
-
Then I think X would be more appropriate.
true, but i'm a sissy, and i've seen my fair share of X deaths...from only popping one.

Legalize it, have the Mexican drug cartels (aka Mexico) be the sole providers and regulate under the FDA, have it heavily taxed and use the money for getting us out of debt and subsidies for things like healthcare and education.
that's all fine and dandy, but i just want to Dubstep.
-
naw, they don't send you to prison for smoking crack, just for selling, which often is violent. But drugs are a special category in the american legal system
pretzel logic, but legalize it and no more violence.

i would like to add bb to my M3, just to listen to Dub...with my AKGs . as is, the B22 has a skosh more bass though .

You might have just nominated yourself
boomana elected to do this a few years ago over at HF - search for "Disturbing Trend".
-
BTW Corey, did you ever get to try the HE-6 loaner with your Beta? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts about the pairing.
no, i bailed on the loaner program shortly after the "improved" production revision was released, half-way through the loaner program, and after a short row with another HF member. i have a hard time taking a company seriously that has released as many "reference" models in such a short period of time. i feel that early adopters/supporters are being taken for a ride.

I don't know why it happened, but the treble energy went down noticeably within the first few hours. I don't think there have been any major changes since.
that will teach you for posting immediate, out of box impressions, especially when the HPs just came in from the front stoop in the middle of a Canadian winter .

sounds like his other offerings have now been rendered obsolete.

Had to leave Marc's house earlier than planned after getting the news that my Grandfather passed away this morning. I knew it was coming, but it's still a downer. He had 92 good years though, and was the best Grandfather a guy could ever hope to have.
i'm so sorry. i miss my Grandpas...

i would wait until after the new year. going by their track record, i'm sure the HE-7i will be released in short time.

I don't know about JHs, but I have trouble maintaining a seal with my custom musicians' earplugs. In the absence of being able to transform them to silicon, I've found that smearing a dab of petroleum jelly around on them prior to use helps a lot.
needing petroleum jelly to get my hi-fi to work - "That'll be the day."

i'm sure Uncle Plastic will set him straight .

Just to be clear, I haven't disputed his proprietary grounding scheme because I haven't read anything about them.
The only disagreements that we have so far are based on the fundamental aspects of 'balanced headphone topology'.
Best,
Elias
i know.
-
Elias, good luck picking apart the voodoo science of three channel amps Grounding is a massively hard to understand art, so *obviously* the thing to do is add a third channel.
oddly (or maybe not so oddly), my mini3, M3 and B22 are all active-ground amps and all have a similar "house sound". i think Ti presents some compelling arguments and await to read the white papers.

just finished...
on tap, disc 1...

Now you need a good preamp for it too. Which speakers are you planning on using with them?
i'm using a B1 and y2 DAC upstream, driving small 89dB Fostex FF85K speakers. for near-field listening in a 12"x12" room, i have enough gain for most albums, but would want more gain if in a larger room.

Ha! So those cable vendors are necessary evils in this hobby, huh?
i would hope AKG would service in production HPs like the K70x. oh well, if not, i hear ALO is the most mostest.
-
I wasn't really sure where to post this, a friend at work has a set of K701's whose cable has apparently crapped out, can anyone offer any advice on who he might contact to see about getting them recabled at a reasonable price?
is the short at the cups or at the TRS plug? if it's just the TRS plug, many here could walk you through the soldering process. just be careful where you bend over...
-
i think i just got blindsided.
-
ok, so i guess i was mistaken then - i thought it was a more amiable separation.
Yikes: love the first paragraph of your sig. so true. i can't wait for the day that we see a non-Corporatist holding the high office. also, the EU is getting totally fucked by Ireland - the one's who give corporate tax shelters at a paltry 12.5%. the Celtic Tiger is beyond dead.
Koss fraud. Wow, not good.
