I finally heard that song for the first time the other day (I've seen it hated before), and I really don't see the problem. It's completely forgettable, in fact, I didn't even notice it was playing -- it was just monotonous.
they played it every single day last summer at my gym, and continue to play it in bursts... it won't die. it's like a ten headed gwen stefani medusa that regenerates each time you suffocate a head in a toilet...
it's reallly horrible. i wouldn't wish it on anyone.

gawk is right also, alan turing who did help crack enigma was an important person in the development of eniac. maybe i'm smushing history together, but I do believe I read that somewhere.

ENIAC had nothing to do with Enigma, though ENIAC rocked.
they used it to crack things encoded in engima. It was one of the applications it was used for, amongst other things. I've read that in a few places.

I'm indifferent towards religion until the believers start shoving it in my face and trying to convert me or "save my soul", then it gets ugly, and I'll cut loose with a string of compound-complex cuss words. Otherwise, do whatever you want in your own home or place of worship, I really couldn't care less.
Politics pisses me off but it is interesting in a perverse way.

this place isn't just for bashing, you are totally marginalizing the purpose of this place. THough, it does seem to be a fact that bashing can happen here, given the capacities we have in our freedom of expression... it doesn't have to be the example, but in parralel to real life, if certain people "Act like they are in a school yard" they won't be removed...
I like tyrion's posts, and I think he has a point about the maturutiy level of people here (particularlly me). Yet, I have fun, I like to talk and take some shit now and then, it's part of being friends and having fun if you ask me. ANyways, I have no harsh feelings towards that RNB guy, or anyone really... I do feel that he is part of the whole "head-fi aint the same" phenomenon, and I chose him as an example at one point in talking about it. Nothing personal to him.
Let's let him on, if we are "all adults", then we can take criticism like men (and women) and give it likely. There is no excuse to censorship or exclusion, but for my view personally, it doesn't mean relinquishing your right to someone who makes hypocritical decisions about administraiton at whim (aka head-fi).
Given great now responsibility, this place can bud into an excellent place... Of course it shouldn't be abused, yet I for one like the open opportunity to abuse it now and then... It is my nature.

Yes. They rock. I love The yes album... starship troopers... good stuff. King Crimson, Jethro Tull, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, lots of others... RadioHead is okay, but they aren't exactly "classic rock" though this thread is way more general then that so I guess it's with the territory. For contemporary groups they are pretty good. I guess if we are counting them, then we might as well add in A Perfect Circle.
