Ok, my last post was deleted, so please excuse my over-familiarity. I'll try and be a humble noob for a while. I've been fond of Quad gear for quite some time. Found the Electrostatics a touch too flat for beat music, but instantly fell in love with the Quad 12ls and picked up a Quad 99 to power them. I thought the Quad 909 was amazing, but felt, at close to 3k, it was overpriced. I've mounted them on my desk recently, and hoping to expand the desk to accommodate. Getting some weight under them without setting up resonance in the desk is a considerable challenge, but well worth it imo.
  2. Ah, the plot thickens... looks like a showdown then.
  3. Ah, you mean the bit where it says ' shut up and read for a while before posting' ? Well, been doing that for a few days, so I might continue and see how I fit in. This Dac reminds me of my current favourite. Been in my small system for a while Matrix Mini-I - Headphonista Magazine Good soundstage depth, slightly analogy sound, punches above its weight. Be interested to make a comparison.
  4. Is there a hello thread here - or do you just post with your feet already running?
  5. Couldn't help myself. G'day
  6. Yet another cheap DAC
