I tried researching this but I can't seem to find their original MSRP although I did see some mention of a sale Doug had at one point.

I see someone trading away a RB that is relegated to second string now and is technically ranked as one of the worst Fantasy RBs in the league as he managed to get negative points in his first game and dropped the ball every time it was handed to him. The WR and TE are both better than what he has now as Keller is going to be limited by sorry QB play and most his current WRs scored less than Manningham last week.
I would assume that he is eyeing someone on the waivers as a RB or is working up another trade. If I hadn't seen how miserable Greene was and how much better LT was yesterday it might have seemed more lopsided.
Greene relegated to second string?! For one lousy game? Not a chance. I refuse to believe you're that gullible.
No one on waivers has a chance of putting up numbers anywhere close to what Greene will do this season.

That was certainly a strange looking lop sided trade IMO.
Who is Tracy Blankenship and why would he/she trade away Shonn Greene, a first string RB, for a sub-par WR and TE, especially when that individual already has a bench full of WR? Not to mention that Grant is now out for the season and Maroney just got traded to the Broncos to play second or third string there.
Exactly who is going to be Tracy's second RB now? That trade made absolutely no sense.

Sorry about my rant but I'm getting slightly ticked off by this new trend of releasing $1500 flagship headphones ever since the HD800 and pretending that they are amazingly innovative and trump all else (ie. Beyer T1, Edition 8, PS1000, probably HE-6, etc, etc..)
Perhaps you may be new to headphones in general, I'm really not sure, but this releasing of four figure headphones is certainly not a new trend.
It probably just seems this way to you because so many companies released flagship offerings around the same time, after having a drought of sorts for a few years in a row.

The hype machine is starting to build up on these headphones over at the other site, it really is raising my curiosity meter.
I think I need to wait a couple of months for it to all die down and a couple more opinions before I seriously consider it.
I agree. I haven't read anything in the the last six months that has made my eyes roll more than all of the hype from kwkarth.

Is the description of the 404LE in the for sale thread over at HF accurate, or simply a bunch of bullshit in order to hype and sell it? Is it really that good?
There is not much to say about these...they are a lightyear ahead of the 404 Signature in terms of sonics and cosmetics and a perfect companion to the O2. The have better bass extension, slam, and dynamics than any O2, have better detail up top when compared to an O2 Mk1 yet are smoother, and have a near perfect midrange presentation when compared to an O2 Mk2. Not to mention that they easily surpassed my HE60's in all regards.

Is anyone still on the fence about these? I figured people were either saving up or waiting for the right financial time to place the order. Or, possibly, waiting on JH13 v JH16 impressions. Other than that, I see little reason for anyone thinking about it to not just place the order.

I've thought about ordering many times since they first popped on the radar but I just can't bring myself to do it. I've never owned IEMs and the whole idea around inserting something that far in to my ear, coupled with cleaning issues and worrying about wax buildup getting in to the output area, just diverts my mind from the order process every time. I'm still amazed by how positive the overall impressions have been, especially from those that we all know are clearly experienced. But for some reason I still can't bring myself to do it. All the accounts of multiple refits and knowing that they're custom and a done deal doesn't help either. If only the had a program where they sent out demo pairs or had local kiosks demonstrating them, then I may just be able to push myself over the edge on an order. Hearing is believing though. I just can't buy something without sampling it unless I can either A) return it or
sell it at a minimal loss.Hopefully I'll get a chance to hear a demo pair at a meet in the near future. Until then I'll remain quite content with the HD800.

Yeah it would be fantastic if there more impressions regarding the Black Diamond in general. I've done quite a bit of research and can only find a handful of posts that could be considered as such. Even the ECP thread over yonder is devoid of any real solid impressions on the BD, let alone ones comparing it with the DSHA-1 and L-2.
At this point I'm definitely open to the BD. I've had one gentleman contact me considering selling his L-2 but nothing has been finalized yet. I'm also eyeballing the Ragnarok assuming it actually gets released for sale to the public anytime soon. I thought I had read somewhere that Doug was down to his last BD unit for sale, however I read that almost a month ago and his ordering page is still up and the BD can be added to the shopping cart.
Just FYI whatever I buy I'll be pairing with the HD800, hence why I've been so interested in the L-2 as of late.
