\ I own a CDP-2, but I'm afraid I haven't much helpful advice. How does one determine if a unit is a CDP-2 or a CDP-1 that's been upgraded? Tangentially, I will say that with oh, about 15 minutes of comparison time, the CDP-2's DAC is noticeably better than the one HeadRoom puts in their Balanced Desktop. I have a tin ear, so it might be that others won't hear it this way. It's also possible I might revert my opinion. I tend to doubt it, though. The CDP-2's soundstage is amazing.

I bought Kirkwall's HeadRoom Balanced Desktop. Throughout the entire transaction, he was communicative, helpful, and painfully polite. The HRBD was carefully packed and it arrived very quickly, especially give that this was from Canada during the Christmas season. The amp is in fantastic shape and of course sounds amazing. Kirkwall is a boon to the Head-Case community. Hard to believe he came over here from Head-Fi.

How bad is the damage to the car and/or you?
My right front fender is pretty well bent, and is missing paint. The plastic bumper (I drive a Subaru Outback) appears to be fine, and the hood might be a little misaligned now. Truth is, I'm very lucky. Blasted thing came out of nowhere and leaped in front of me on a twisty dirt road.
