had some oden last night, at basically my favorite (and only place I've found) that serves it more Japanese in style than Taiwanese. Always nice to have variety.

Was in luck that they also stored their cups in a fridge for the asahi, guess it counts as on tap? Dispensed from some counter-top machine.

  2. Company presses your ashes into vinyl when you die

Music lovers can now be immortalised when they die by having their ashes baked into vinyl records to leave behind for loved ones.

A UK company called And Vinyly is offering people the chance to press their ashes in a vinyl recording of their own voice, their favourite tunes or their last will and testament. Minimalist audiophiles might want to go for the simple option of having no tunes or voiceover, and simply pressing the ashes into the vinyl to result in pops and crackles.

  3. Went out shopping. Looked at some uber pricey clothes (greatly discounted, to still too pricey). Still do not get high end fashion I guess. Interesting to see though.

Then got myself a cooking pan. :D Getting more and more settled in.

  4. Teach took us to a restaurant after taking the test today.

大戸屋 - ootoya. Some sort of chain restaurant. I thought it was going to be the likes of sukiya, matsuya, or yoshinoya. But it wasn't =/. Introduced to me through mentioning the previous type of places.

Had a nice katsudon at ootoya.

Way better than a failure of one I had 1-2 weeks ago, where the restaurant was clearly selling the visual and not the food.

-- need to find out if i can get some banh mi around here.

  5. I must say that the K702's definitely require burn-in. I was pretty shocked at the difference when I compared filburt's well worn k701's (which I really liked) to my relatively fresh pair of k702's (didn't like nearly so much). After running them for a while they seem to have started to sound closer to how filburt's were.

hm... maybe I shoulda given em more time. Oh well. Got no setup here now. Do tell me how it goes in the long run.

  6. ^ I'm quite jealous of the BART system in SF from what I've heard about it. Would really like that sort of setup here.

Sorted out, or at least it seems to be fine until my next visit to the visa office, some of the issues that came up recently for me. Or maybe my family will give me another surprise.

Should at least be there saturday. Might be a little bit late (before noon at latest), but with some help from my friends, I should be able to head straight to CJ-- since one has offered me a place to stay for the night on sunday to defer the visa office visit til monday. Plan is to bring the m3, modded sonic frontiers transdac, a can or two, to pair up with Cetoole's orthos + laptop.
