    Finished soldering my Dynalo Mini but I have problems. First thing when I switched it on the CCS LEDs did not illuminate. Checked voltage at the TRS jack and it was about 8-9VDC. The Meanwells work fine and show +24V/-24V.  The positive regulator is still showing +20.00V but the negative regulator is now showing +1.76V. This is very frustrating since it was measuring -20.02V before I started soldering the amp components.

    Do I assume that the negative regulator is fried?

    Looks like some soldering issues to me,especially with tps7a regs

    So, what do you guys think of my front panel layout? I would like to loose the indicator mark on the knob, but it functions in four positions alternating between the four options on/off for gain (high and low (MC/MM) and rumble filter (on/off). The LEDs are bi color green/red, green is on/MC and red is off/MM. The power LED is always green.

    Just using the same value resistor for both colors, they seem to be matched somewhat. The LEDs are from Bivar and the circuit uses one common-anode and one common-cathode.

    Just for Nate, I avoided blue :)

    gotta love that silkscreen , nice touch !

    That's a very neat idea! :wub:

    Would allow for a bit of experimentation to see how the JFETs change the sound of an existing amp I guess. Would you mind sharing artwork or schematics?

    sure,there it is

    It works fine on dynalo,but need to trim down PCB outline a little on current susy dynahi releases due to trimpots are close to THAT340 Socket .

    and check transistor pinout before soldering :)

  4. recently blew up some 170D also,

    later found maybe my thermal compound may introduce additional conducting path between screw and angle bracket

    first killed my 10m90s and have damage on 170D,then when I fired up again after replaced 10m90s

    you know what's going to happen :{

    fixed by replacing 10m90s and 170D and check all the other transisitors won't have not too much thermal compound would causing short
