I'm just not daring enough to do the older RS-1... if they were new no problem but I do not want to run the risk with the old glue and wood and the mess that could make... I don't want to end up buying myself a pair of RS-1s

can't blame u. I'm sure getting the technique down is a pain. I felt ok paying the premium i did cuz grado did it, and i know he doesn't have to go far to replace them.
