Cleaning and LCD?

Featured Replies

So I've got a little streak on my LCD monitor that I can't seem to get off. I think I was trying to wipe off a bit of dust and streaked grease on it or something. I've tried wiping it with a clean cotton shirt, but it doesn't seem to want to remove itself. What cleaning solution is a safe and effective way to clean my LCD. Thanks! :-*

Hey, that's a cool moving dot in your sig 8)

a little water, or eye glass/monitor cleaner, and a very soft cloth should do the trick. i use iKlear solution, and a micro fiber lens cloth, myself.

It is not a good idea to use eyeglass cleaner on LCD monitors.

As long as the eye glass cleaner is one that is safe for AR coating, you will be fine. Most eye glass cleaners nowadays are, though.

You can also use camera lens cleaning solutions too.

Honestly, good ole water and a microfiber cloth is what I use to clean my monitors.

A slightly damp, well-wrung out hand towel rubbed ever so lightly on the screen did the trick. Thanks all for the suggestions.
