postjack
Anyone ever heard Dali speakers before? A positive review of the Ikon 6 in HiFi News a few months back, as well as an interview with the owner of the company in a more recent issue, has me interested in their products. Dusty Chalk
I've heard a few, but they have so many lines, it's hard to say. They're like Focal -- they have what seem to be a lot of quality products at many price points. I'd say they're worth checking out. PS I read the same review. neilvg
I have the MS-4's. I love them, very nice. You can get very close to new pairs for used prices around $6k or so. Neil
Zorglub
I've heard lots of Dali speakers, anything specific you want to know? A few notes: The Helicon line is the sweet spot price/performance wise, especially the 300 stand mounted. A lot of their speaksers have a sort of mid bass hump. Old gems include the Dali Grand Diva and of cause the Megaline
postjack
Mainly I'm interested in the Ikon 6, but I'll look into the Helicons. Stand mounters might be more appropriate for my smaller room anyway.
Zorglub
If you go for the 300, note that the difference between MK1 and MK2 is a tighter bass response on the mk2 while the MK1 has more bloom and less definition in that region. Oh and speaking of stand mounted the old Grand Coupe is a bargain if you want to cut costs. I have not heard the Ikon 6 in any controlled environment, so you are on your own there
