acs236 Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 i always thought they sounded grainy. acs236 and i compared the 120 ohm and the 50 ohm versions at the headroom meet and we came to the conclusion that one was better than the other, but i can't remember which! I liked the 50 ohm better. But I'm sure I'd prefer the HF-1 over the 595 even more 5687's tube-obsessed protests.

The 595/ 120 ohm sounds like a much improved grado HF-1 to me. Tubes definitely up the headphones performance but the 595 still sounds very good on my GS-1.
recstar24 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 We should do a small one sooner. I got out of the wedding in July!! Unfortunately I could not nor do i think I have a chance getting out of my wedding in july JK august 5th sounds good, i should be able to make it this time
