    While I have no idea how each one compares, I've been using MediaLink to connect my PS3 to my iMac for almost two years without any issues. IIRC, you should be able to try out MediaLink for free.

    I also can't compare, but I've been using TwonkyServer on my iMac for several months and think it works well serving all my ripped DVDs, podcasts, and music/photos.
