thanks, i guess i will ask GE for a detailed impression.it was at the end of the meet that i heard them, and i was way too headphone overloaded to get any impressions other than "it sounds nice".

did any of you guys notice a very strong sonic signature? i think the furutech cardas sounds plain weird when compared to the zu mobius.it is, don't worry

that shit costed me like 400, it better be nice.my guess is that it's mostly to do with the pads. btw, tiberian, the 650s with balanced cardas (furutech XLRs) sounded quite nice out of the balanced outputs on the Lavry Black. not dynamite nice, but nice.

ok my new senn 650s certainly do not sound the same as my old pair. same zu mobius balanced, same woodies.
much less bass...more treble.
burn in? new pads? or is that the wolff tuning pads?

headfi has been in a pretty sad state of affair for at least a year or so. i guess everyone is fed up with jude, rick and all that BS.Franky I am surprised that I haven't been banned on Head-Fi yet. I am still sort of confused why everyone has been banned recently. Was that the reason this forum was created?

I'm probably getting it from www.hifi.com.tw for 17000 NTD or so, plus shipping, transaction fees, and whatever I'm forgetting. so it's most likely going to be $600-ish.

umm i just got some carbon/steel/corian pads from mike wolff for my minidac.
placebo, snakeoil or not, i don't know, but they seem to quiet down the background a bit, and the sibilance seems to be weaker now.

they do sound bloated out of anything but gilmore and meier amps. but when balanced...OMG the bass rocks my little world.

k271s are pretty good for that. i use them when i am around the campus and i am in minnesota.

arr ok. is there a frequency response graph for the k701s?I was not talking impact or such they just have a very emphasized bottom end... the 701s are a lot more balanced in the regard and do not sound muddy or bloated.
(not that I have experience of these type of gadgets)
