So my fuckin' iMac still won't recognize 2 slots worth of RAM when all 4 slots are filled. Fuckers. Apple Store was really useless. Need to call AppleCare and try to get a new machine. Fuck.

Went the price adjustment route. Stopped by Grand Central store and was done in about 7 minutes. Refunded $400. I guess when you have eleventy billion in the bank you can afford not to give a shit.

Ok, just spoke to the store again and instead of going through the whole exchange, they'll just do a price adjustment. That's a fine result for me, and an easy move by Apple.

I spoke to the Grand Central Store where I bought it. The guy was nice, but not the most knowledgeable, so we'll see how it goes. I'm wondering if it's even worth the psychic pain.

I bought mine the 24th of January so I don't think I'm eligible to trade back in. Bummer.
I've heard stories that you can maybe get a refund or credit instead of a trade in if you make a stink.

I've now tried both Crucial and whatever it is that Apple is forcing down our throats. I'm really unimpressed with the "Genius" support I received. Now I need to decide if I go back to the store or if I try to deal over the phone. I'm thinking the latter since it's a BTO and they won't be able to swap it out at the store anyway. Fucking idiots.
