  1. But yay!!! It has stopped snowing here and the sun is out!!
  2. I believe it is not only acceptable, but appropriate. Cheers! Taking the Corvette out for a spin today Kevin?
  3. Path to the front door. Looking out to the street. Still snowing and it is quite the mess out there.
  4. Yeah, Lake Shore Drive downtown is closed with tons of abandoned cars. Winds were clocked at 70 mph last night. Around me we have 5-6 foot drifts. Wind has settled a lot but still probably 20 mph and as soon as it's shoveled it blows right back. This is worse than back in 79 but not as bad as 67 yet.
  5. Winds may be gusting higher than 40 mph now south of Chicago since my gas grill just took a 15 foot flight down the deck... And it is snowing like a mother.
  6. 2 feet possible in the Chicago area and right now we have a steady 40 mile an hour wind to help it. Fuck.
  7. Got home from work and did my taxes. A pleasant little refund will be coming.
  8. ^^^This. And he's right. It does not suck very much.
  9. I preferred the cask to the barrel aged. Too far over the top on the BA.
  10. We aim to please. Soon I'll buy you some non-electronic beers.
  11. Sending all three to you now Fitz.
  12. Cask conditioned Behemoth is so full of win...
  13. Behemoth is back. This is the straight article. Next is the cask version to be followed by the barrel aged. Going to be a very nice afternoon.
  14. The previously mentioned Stagg.
  15. Nice Stagg Shelly. I'll toast you and your grad student with some of my own later this evening. Right now, Robert the Bruce.
  16. Went to a place called SmokeJack in Alpharetta, GA tonight for dinner. Had a combo plate of smoked brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. Accompanied by cheesy grits and fried pickles. A couple of Terrapin beers, and for authenticity a PBR. Food and beer was excellent. Finished with a Classic Cask 17 yr bourbon that I quite liked. Absorbine is a happy boy.
  17. So quit slacking and get over here and help me position my new speakers. Kidding - glad to hear you got good news Jacob.
  18. Newcastle Brown Ale after some less than stellar microbrews at 5Seasons in Atlanta.
  19. Nothing. Sitting on the fucking plane waiting for a fucking gate. Urgghhh.
  20. Bought a bottle of this yesterday at Square One, distilled on the premises. Much higher in botanicals than, say, Bluecoat. Had G&T last night, wasn't thrilled. But a dirty martini now with Dolin Blanc is smooth and tasty.
  21. Survived Cabin Fever. Smoked Porter, RyePA, Coffee Stout and Oatmeal Stout were my favorites. I managed to stay fairly non-drunk. Debbie, on the other hand... And if you're in St. Louis, visit Schlafly's Bottle Works. Big bar, big souvenir shop, big flavor.
  22. Smoked Porter is my fav so far. Tastes like smoked ham and beer.
  23. 9 or 10 samples down. Nose is running but what a great day.
