^ Interesting. I got my All Things Must Pass, Concert For Bangladesh, Living In The Material World when they came out. They are part of the reason My LP collection hasn't quite been disassembled yet.

Got an email from Todd, and apparently I'm the next in line. It would probably have been posted by now.

Cool. I was trying to go to the Olympics in Finns and did a lot of sailing but that's behind me these days. Thought I'd want to get back into it once I had a kid but even then I really don't.
The $260 was for the oakleys with the photochromatic lenses so I was doing apples to apples. I should have been clearer.
To each their own but I will never wear anything Livestrong.
Ahh, impressive sailing history.
I surprised myself with the Livestrong purchase, great shades but...

The Tifosi work really well and respond pretty quickly. I've never had much of an issue but I don't ride in conditions that dangerous often. The Oakley stuff is probably a bit faster but I can buy like 5 pairs for the same price. I can't see any CA or other optical issues with them at all and they hold on to my face well even when I'm wearing winter hat under my helmet.
Years of being a sailor (where how good your optics are doesn't matter because they are getting salt on them) has made me agnostic to high end glasses for sports.
That said I want Oakley Jawbones with the photochromatic lens.... Will not be getting them as I rather get a new helmet or something.
Sailing? Same here, with Kenwood Cups and Big Boat Series in the past. In the end it was Melges 24s and I14s. I'm down now with injuries. Never used shades even in the hawaiian sun, because the salt and water drives me crazy. Of course 3 days into a sail up to America brought on the splitting headache from hell, so shades for the rest of the passage.
I have the Rudy Horus which has bendable nose and ear pieces. Very adjustable, not stylish, but good lenses.
The Livestrong Radar Path cost $190, but you know what Billy Cyrstal says in Fernando's Hideaway.

Need to look into Tifosi, and check out how fast they react. We have 2 short tunnels at the top of a petite climb with fast running traffic, not the smoothest paving inside, and 40+ mph when you hit daylight.

With the photocromatic lenses? If so let inquiring minds know how they work out.
I wish--just black iridium. I need to change the Livestrong to red iridium, because the black can be sketchy cycling with debris and potholes when coming out of tree shadows.

Got a new 3 prong yesterday, saved $21.

Then these--Livestrong Radar Path, and Flak Jacket XLJ

Consider using Chrome then if Safari is causing the clipping. Awesome bit of kit that.
I have clipping with Chrome as well. Sometimes it lasts for a second, other times its more prolonged sounding like an audio tape piling up between the heads and rollers. Its highly irritating but Amarra is worth, till something equal or better comes out.

I'm having a *hard* time getting through a second reading of Robert Fitzgerald's Odyessy. Despite it seeming to have a higher reputation in academia, There are many instances where I wish it was Allen Mandlebaum's version I was reading.

Julia Fischer. Scroll down for the vid--its pretty cool at several levels. Works well with your system.

Excellent impressions blessingx. I'm on the loaner list about 3 weeks out. Its going to be an interesting comparison, as I'm pretty enamored with the GS1. Still, I'm looking forward to this, as I have three options for an amp upgrade. The GS-X is the easiest solution, but with the loaner program, the Peak and Arete shouldn't be ignored.

Doh, facetious.
No factiousness intended in this particular context, but roger on it being appropriate. I should probably slip it into conversation before the end of the day.

A measurement to explain a ground plane that doesn't work? Yeah sure, it's not more likely that the designer is incompetent or anything like that...
Sorry, forgot the factious smiley.
-
Look at the ground plane, it is a bad joke.
I'm sure there's a measurement to explain.

An interesting take on relieving digititis. Otoh I think Amarra serves that function quite well in my system, so it will be interesting to see how the Neko will fit in.
-
Looks like a 50/50 chance here of the Neko's arrival corresponding with my TTVJ/Millet Arete/Volcano loaner. With the A/V so far being reported as a little more analytical and unforgiving than the P/V, and looking at blessingx' review at the Neko forum, it should be an interesting audition.

I'm on U.S Loaner program (round 2), although my time comes more or less in Oct. Argh.

^ All in good time.
I noticed the similarities in your impressions, and wonder how both of your respective DACs compare sound signature-wise.
