The two 1K gate resistors in place, 240R as source resistors (not 250R – took what I had). No LED and its 175Ks and no A bridge. Is there more to consider. The lower source resistance couldn’t be the problem or…?

Some time ago I did the new KGSShv board with Only IXYS parts. With power on both channels showed -380 V. Same thing both boards. Today I replaced 10n100d with c4686 and then it works. Have anyone built KGSShv new board with all IXYS parts and have it working?

The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Yes, that was wrong part number. I’m sorry - it was late and I mixed up the numbers. I use the insulating washer # 7721-3PPSG and I use a tool to press the washer in place. So far it works without problems for me. I have two working T2 and some other stuff. But I can see the advantages using PEEK screws and it seems that the torque they provide is good enough.

In my opinion nylon shoulder washer (mouser # 534-9902) and stainless screws will do. Cheaper then PEEK and you can apply “correct” torque.

The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
It power up so at very first time. But believe it or not I have found the cause for this. The center pins on both 2k trimmers on faulty side were unsoldered. I’m glad I discovered this before changing components. It took me three days to find those missing joints. Wonder how many more there could be? Well, I'm sure you will find and solve the problem with your amp. It's mostly a matter of time and some things just need some more time.

spritzer, have you found a solution to your problem with batteries voltage adjustment? I have a problem with newly built T2. One channel works OK. The other channels batteries are both stuck at 809 volts.
