  1. Yes I would be on a group buy of these transistors if it proceeds. Thanks Les
  2. Thanks and advice taken.
  3. Hi all, I have set of Stax SR- Lambda Classic phones with the Dust mesh has disintegrated. I got most of the bits out but some small pieces have gotten thru the metal mesh. So I'm in this dilemma, do I try and remove the drivers to get it all out or just leave it. They sound ok, I have also noticed both metal meshes have sunken somewhat. Are these meshes supposed to flat as there has been no deliberate pressure applied only been worn normally as I have owned these from new. The drivers seemed stuck fast so was reluctant to attempt a removal in case I damaged them. Is the best replacement for the Foam mesh from Stax. I see just this foam mesh is available on their site. Thought there might be something else that would do. Any comments would be appreciated. Regards Les
  4. That's why I seem to be attracted here, been a diyer in Audio for nearly 50 years. Cut my teeth on Valves and really nice to see this stuff back in favour. There is a place for both old and new technology. Not up to design level especially not now. Grey matter weakening but like to keep what brain cells ive got left ticking over.
  5. Thanks, don't remind me, just retired so hope I will have more, but what people tell me it wont happen. Nice site for the Diyer in Audio, must keep an eye on this site. Les
  6. Thanks spritzer, One I found was Chip1stop.com. Havent looked at their stock. How is your unit running?. Still pleased with it. Do you Know how many have been built?. Les
  7. Hi All, First time poster here, but a long time Electrostatic Headphone/Loudspeaker appreciator. Built Kevins Triode Amp and the KGSS but dropped out of the loop before the Blue Hawaii appeared. Took me a bit to Track down where Kevin hang out. Congrats to all involved and who own them now and it was good to see Kevin still designing great Amps. Man this T2 looks Cool. Trying convince myself I don't need it but not successful. Been well and truly sucked in by the two I already have. Each one just got better. Back on topic, ive read all 3000 odd posts and there just seem one stumbling block. That is obtaining legit Semis. Does anyone have reliable sources for these, I don't mind paying higher prices, just don't want to go thru Silicon Death Valley. I know one can test with the recommended Tester(Dyuio) either way its a must but it involves buying a lot of stock. I know Lil Knight was doing a run of metal work and pCB recently but all I need is the pcb pair. How does one contact him as I see no means of pm's on the site. Thanks guys and appreciate any comments and Kevin if you reads this, im the Guy back in 2000 approx. that sent you some prototype boards for the KGSS. Les
