  1. Are you kidding me? You guys curse at me in capital letters. Make fun of my handle. Say I'm a douche then insinuate that I would do the worst thing ever and post child porn on here. All over some tubes. Yeah you guys are a hot mess emotionally.
  2. Never posted any child porn. Never said I was entitled to anything. Just can not figure out why 2 dudes who have over 60,000 posts between them want to get all emotional about a brief post, when I barely post.
  3. Nope sorry as of July 4th, in the he1k thread, the best I could get out of several senior members was that this was a booze and guns forums. For sure not in my welcome message. July 4th was also the last time I posted so I think it is not all that out of order to ask the moderators to just ignore me if they do not like what I type. Between dusty chalk and grawk I have ignored what they have to say 60,000+ times. I don't think I'm asking allot for them to ignore me once in a blue moon.
  4. Your a strait shooter, with upper management written all over you.
  5. Tyll and I had our say many days ago, at least I did. I don't know what grawk's deal is/was but it looks like he moved on as well. I think you are the one who can not help yourself.
  6. You have a fucked up way of showing it and I have already been over this with another moderator and you guys don't have a clue as to what is in the welcome message.
  7. I have what 19 posts on here in 9 months why the fuck do you care what I have to say? For what is worth I liked the video.
  8. Suit? Tyll opened the door by claiming that he used totl interconnects, power cables, power conditioners and headphone cables to ensure the best results. That sort of includes tubes imo if you are going to include tube amps. It is also not just me who does not like the cv593 and 6558 in the Teton. Dubstep girl does not like those tubes either. I can not think of a person that knows more about hd800's and tubes than her. Pretty sure she had every 5u4g, 6as7g, and almost all the 6sn7's at one point in time. I would also be glad to send tyll my 422a with adapter, gec 6as7g and 6sn7w for nothing.
  9. Oh mother mary all I did was a review of the review. I've also heard of this thing of amp builders being stuck with providing lack luster stock tubes for their amps because the tubes have to be bought in bulk. I have also heard some tubes cost allot and subsequently raise the price of the amp too much.
  10. I have allot of respect for what todd does as well, but do you think he listens to the Teton 3 hours a day like me when he has all that great gear at his finger tips? Me thinks not. It does look like he sent you the most important tube which is a 6sn7w. With any other 6sn7 you will def. choke the 6as7g and 5u4g big time. However with a 6sn7w in place you can really and I mean really take the Teton to new heights with a 422a/with glenn adapter and GEC6as7g. Trust me I have tried the cv593 and 6558 and you are bottlenecking it. Have you ever tried out a stock set of tubes supplied with an amp and not find improvements elsewhere? At least in my experience the stock tubes are almost always terrible. I also have a hard time believing woo sent you Takatsuki's. Can YOU please review this amp again. Sorry but the Teton review was crap. I like skylab but he used the wrong headphone (lcd-3) and even you seem to agree.
  11. I have allot of respect for what bob does, but the lcd-3? Sorry Bob you lost me on that one. It is a nice headphone but the hd800/Teton is much nicer on all levels...big time. I was a bit surprised that the gent who was so good at guessing the amps preferred the Bakoon but at the same time tyll was using lack luster tubes in the Teton.
  12. Just wanted to thank Birgir for my new kgsshv. It sounds wonderful. The727ii was nice but I can't go back after listening to the kgsshv. Just running Airbow sr-sc-11's right now but plan to upgrade to the 009's eventually. Pavane and sp25 table as source.
  13. Well name dropping was not cool in retrospect. I just thought being new headphones and being new on here myself giving a baseline might be a good idea. It was not a good idea and I apologize for my mistake. In the future I will say other flagships and leave it at that. Happy 4th to everybody. It's my bday. Commence getting hammered and blowing up stuff.
  14. Well that's how the welcome pm came off to me. Maybe you did not mean to come off that way but that's how it came off to me. I will re read it.
  15. I joined this place cause I thought it was going to be an easy going "bar" atmosphere. So far you guys seem more rule intensive than that one place I'm not suppose to bring up but that 99% are from. What the fuck is going on here? False advertising.
  16. Yeah and I thought one of the rules on here was not to bring that up? Notice my handle is Jib, not Jibzilla?
  17. Had this headphone for a few days now. It's nice but could us a bit of refinement in the build quality. Compared to the he-500 I owned though miles better. I like these more than allot of other flagships/ highend headphones: HD800, Ether, Lcd-x, 2.2, 3c and f, oo7mk2(sz3), airbow sr-sc-11, th-900, etc. but still feel like those phones keep up. At the $2600 I paid for it I consider it a good deal. A great deal would start at $2299, hopefully by xmas hfm can get it down to that price and maybe add a beefier, better looking headband and thicker ear pads...imo
  18. Like most planars they are very low. I think 30ohms which like most planars makes them ideal for SS. The gsx-mk2 should be amazing with the he-1k's, still I am interested in what these will sound like with the zero ohm output peak/volcano and allnic hpa-5000 tube offerings.
  19. Cool. Thanks. It is nice to have options in case the he1k does not meet my expectations.
  20. I see neutrik NA2FPMF. Has anyone tried these? Thanks.
  21. I bought the ha-2 from ttvj and it came with a 1 year warranty and fresh refurbishment from Pete. I will take the cover off eventually but right now I'm just going to enjoy it since for at least a year any repair will be under warranty. Thank you for the heads up though. It def. runs hot. I can see why the Teton has such a big heat sink. The amp is very quiet so any increased noise should be noticeable. Really makes my hd800 sing imo. The v200 is probably the closest at the ha-2's price range and I still prefer the ha-2 with hd800's. Add in a brimar 5u4g, gec 6as7g, and Marconi b65 and you have something really special.
  22. I need rca outs. 727ii has parallel rca outs. XLR in is fine.
  23. I have #41 volcano and #39 peak. I bought them on 3/2014 so I do not think there are too many out there. I also own a wheatfield ha-2 amplifier which I hear only 50 were made. Just absolute gem amplifier's imo. The peak/volcano is an incredible pre amp as well as headphone amp.
  24. Just put my pre order in on the he1k and just joined here and it does not look like there is allot of love going on. I have 30 days to return it though so I'm not too worried. Is the sr-009 any easier to drive than the 007mk2? I thought it would be more difficult to drive but from what I have read it looks like it might be easier to drive. Thinking about making the sr-009 move after the he-1k if I'm not pleased with the sound, but I only have a 727ii and the 007mk2 was maxed out big time on it and a woo ges. My audio stand is a fairly small salamander stand and not much more room for a bigger stand so the 727ii is about as large as I can go amp wise.
