  1. there is a kit you can buy for a small headphone amp, a nutube in combination with a opa. it sounds nice, a mix between a very tubby millet portable hybrid amp and a solide state amp, not neutral. sweet highs and not overly smooth mids, nice wide soundstage, lows are fine and deep but not super sharp. for the price it is a fair offer, bad thing is that the nutube is verry microphonic and picks up electronic noise, was ok after put it in a case and secured it (with hot glue, the nutube don't get hot). https://www.tindie.com/products/microwavemont/nutube-amp-kit-a-vacuum-tube-in-new-century/
  2. these two amps are nice. the rounded case looks verry modern, like the idea of a dual power supply.
  3. @pars thanks for the info, was puzzeld about the 3th rectifier and didn't take much time thinking of it, a bit of wiggling and it's out now. Something new learned about the grlv, used it the first time. That's a part i love about head-case, helpful people and always something new to learn. @ang728 look nice your amp, building this in a small case is like a 3d puzzel, part of the fun for me.
  4. Not a Mini Dynalo but a small one. Finished my Dynalo today, thanks to this forum and the members the build was easy and free of trouble, thanks everyone. Was fun to put it in a small case and solve this puzzle. Also a big thanks to Kevin Gilmore for this design and sharing it with us. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2232 Thanks to sbelyo for the group buy of the pcbs.
  5. Thats a good looking amp, great work :-).
  6. Nice made, it's good to cover the trafo, without i had some noice in one channel .
  7. thanks for your comments , had a long listening session last night and it's great. thats exactly the case i used, it's nicly made and everything fit fine. but i wouldn't build anything with more than 10-15 watt class a in this case, not good for dissipating heat. you find it also on aliexpress, their i did get mine. the front is lacquered with metallic car color on a primer, fit's the color of the th-900 and always good to bring a little color in your life. the logo of the delivered case is aluminium, screwed on, i replaced it whit a printed piece of wood. anodising is on my wish list to do myself but i think it's tricky with bigger parts.
  8. another ksa5 alive . i would like to thanks everyone here in the forum for their input and a special thanks to kevin gilmore make this build possible. after seeing that boards on ebay are avaible i jumped the train and ordered the parts, i'm verry happy 1. because i could build this amp and 2. i have again a krell in the house (let a ksa100 go for my diy pass f5t). build was fun whitout any suprises, maybe a not on the pots for the bias, i also need to turn them near completle down for a bias of 100mv. sounds fine from the start an brings the memory of my krell back, a very fine headphone amp.
