I bought one before I heard someone who have gone to the 300ltd audition in Japan. He said there are noticeable differences between 700 and the ltd. Maybe its just electrode changes, not the diaphragm. I somehow regreted but anyway its just a collector's item, sound quality doesn't matter that much. Once I hv a pair of et1000 but sold them for around 500 after I saw the deals on eBay. They are overpriced compared to the staxs'.But the sound signature is pretty impressive,one can easily differentiate it from the stax.the high is more prnounced and not as soft as the old stax does

I hv just sold my 007A sz2 for its lack of transparency and smoothness of the sound. which one , 007 mk1 or mk2.9 ,does better in these two aspects? Is it using a pair of output tranformers?

Very convenient don't know is such a service available in yr country tho

found out why four resistors on the output(R123-126) on a channel are of strange value The eight (four each channel) resistors on my another flawless SRM1MK2 are all in 230K But the eight resistors on this one varies with each other. one 1M in ohm, two 300k,other 230k something After switching them ,it singsNow just waiting for the new one to arrive But i wonder if the problem is solved completely or will it happen again?

Recently i acquired a SRM1/MK2 (B series) Stax amp and a pair of sr404 which is bought for a sigma/404 conversion It comes with an imbalance issue. I first thought it is the headphone , but after several switches of equipment(amps,headphones etc） im certain that its the AMP. By observation there is no burnt resistors,measured some of them ,the VR seems to be functional........I tuned the offset and balance But the + to - voltage of the lower-volume channel doesn't change when i rotate the balance pot which is abnormal, it stays on 8v dc While all other balance and offset pots is fine. Have anyone once had the same issue ？Any thoughts?I need help desperately from anyone. Thank you

Should I get a sigma pro or sigma/404,which one sounds better? recently i come across two sigmas: normal and pro and i have long determined to get one , and now im thinking of just getting the pro or get the normal one with defects(noise while playing it loud) .But i would do a sigma/404 transplant on the normal bias and it cost roughly the same as buying the pro bias one After searching i still cant conclude which is better. the price of a sigma nowadays has gone high ,very high...... as high as a 007. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S. IMO burn in of cable only effective in the first 40 hrs of usage some dealers use it to deal with complains from the customers that their product is still not in full potential right after open-box or just Sales tactics to make use of psychological effects ,just like Apple making their I phone package hard to open and cause you a minute ,making you more eager

Today i got a set of srm 1/mk2 with lambda signature ,which is my second pair of lambda sig.I once saw a guy (pkxxxx) on forum who claims that lambda sigs with pvc dustscreen and silk-like dustscreen sound different and i thought it was a joke .but when i compare the two today ,they indeed sounds different. the lambda with pvc dustscreen sounds more dynamic with more treble peak while the other one slightly sounds dull and smoother vocal ,somewhat brings out the emotions. illusions? maybe P.S. that guy is infamous in stax forums in mainland china

Hi Everyone Does anyone know what the wrinkled-like dust proof membrane in the lambdas made of？Or where can i get one？ I have two pairs of lambda on my hand( LNS / signature) and their dust cover need the be replaced one is broken by age ,one is broken when i try to get rid of the humming issue by opening the driver the membrane seems to be air-permeable that makes me believe they are not the ordinary one. Does anyone has a clue?Thank you very much PS I don't believe in curves and data.
