The GFX100RF files are stunning off the Pixma at 13x19.

I'm rather fond of the panorama modes on the GFX100RF. This is a raw conversion in Lightroom with basic edits. The M4 Pro Mini I picked up chews through the raw files out of this camera a lot more effectively than the base M4 did.
I need to try the Ricoh wide angle adapter that I picked up for the 100RF. Somebody did the math and with the adapter you can get the same FOV as an X-Pan, which is exciting (I always wanted an X-Pan).

In the fridge? Years. In the freezer? Decades.

The GFX100RF arrived and I have time to work with it and compare it to existing gear. It gives nothing up to the Leica Q I have on build quality. EVF seems brilliant, but I’m used to older EVFs. We’ll see when I actually take pictures.

Omega sure makes it cheap and easy to order links.

I’ve been freezing my beans at three weeks post roast for years. Works great!

I “finally” upgraded my espresso grinder. Niche Duo with SSP MP. I wouldn’t say my espresso tastes any different, but the Niche Zero will sell on eBay fine. Pour over is greatly improved over the Niche Zero. Makes it worth it. Especially since the Zero will sell fine.

I got to handle a GFX100RF. It convinced me to buy one. I don’t know if I’ll keep my Q once it arrives. It’s brilliant, though. I got to handle a Hassy 907/100C, and it was cool, but very fiddly and fragile feeling. I bought a Nikon 810 with a 58 f/1.4 as well, in mint condition. I should be good on replacing my film photography.

After listening for a while (and getting the output under control: it's HOT out of the box), I think the DAC3 is a subtle audio upgrade, but a noticeable one. The voicing is just so similar to the DAC1 that I didn't notice it at first. Also, trying out DSD audio for the first time.

Damn, those Daytonas are stunners! I had an opportunity to buy one in yellow gold for a good price about 10 years ago. I should have taken it.

A new (well, to me anyway) Sapphire Sandwich is coming my way. I tried one on at an AD. As nice as the new bracelet is, I will immediately put it on a Forstner flat link. I’m excited: the new one is really the watch I always wanted a Speedy to be, minus the “heritage” I indulged in the Pre-moon with. I imagine I’ll keep the watch for life. Or until I give it away to somebody.

I have decided that I’m going to shoot digital only soon. I have a significant amount of film in my freezer, but once it’s gone my film cams are conversation pieces only. I can fortunately shoot the vintage Nikon glass on the Df. Thinking about going to a Hasselblad 907x.
I guess I’ll get a Ricoh to replace the Rollei. It’ll be a lot less charming. I’m able to get shots with that camera that I couldn’t with anything larger and less charming. I hope a GR meets those requirements.

I bought a DAC3. It sounds identical to the DAC1. I’m glad to have the DAC1 for a different setup, so it all works out.

I feel a Speedy itch. Has anybody worn the new sapphire sandwich?
Today I'm wearing the Cartier Drive de Cartier Extra Plat. It's my second. The very first one I gave to somebody, at a wake for their grandfather, while very drunk, right off my wrist. I always regretted it, so when I found a brand new one for $2100 I of course jumped on it. It's a perfect watch. I have it on a dark green Hodinkee epsom strap with contrast stitch (the 16m buckle from Cartier that I needed was dear for such a small little piece of metal). I'm glad to have it back on my wrist.
