  1. Husker Du - Candy Apple Grey ...
  2. Scott Hamilton with Strings ... ... (just a few days ago received a MHDT Labs Stockholm v2 DAC and this record is insanely good through it and the 323S/404LE combo; sexah!)
  3. Dayna Kurtz - Venezuela ... .. She so good: ... ...
  4. Jane Birkin - Lolita Go Home ...
  5. Yum. Love all things Polly Jean. ;-)
  6. The Necks - Open ../ ../ A really good experimental sort of jazz outfit. Australian persons. It's almost ambient, this record. Lots of dispersed cymbals, bass guitar and piano. Really long tracks that build. I dig them a lot. ../
  7. Grandaddy - Through a Frosty Plate Glass (E.P.) ... ... such fine Indie fare... ...
  8. Boy do I miss him...
  9. The Great Jazz Trio - 'S Wonderful ...
  10. ... Straight out of Omaha ... ... ...
  11. Neurosis and Mastadon both ... great records ... (especially Neurosis) ...
  12. ... Good lord. Hearing this for the first time tonight. Best binaural recording I've ever heard. Blows the Chesky stuff away... seven or eight bucks used at Amazon is just ridiculous. ... MORE INFO: http://www.ottmarliebert.com/music/album/up-close
  13. ... Sigh...
  14. Silver Ray - "New Love" ... An Australian band that's on constant rotation. Might be hard to find as they aren't very well known here in the states ... they've toured quite a bit opening for Nick Cave. Super smooth and moody and spatially cool guitar music; meandering is a word that comes to mind. A kick ass record with nary a vocal line to speak of and super sweet melodies. I find it a great listen when I'm extremely hung over and fearing that any sort of lyrical music I listen too might get stuck in my head as an endless loop when trying to go to sleep. Sad but true ... good anger management music too. ;-) ...
  15. Any suggestions for how to adjust the headband of of a SR-404LE so that it will hang just a bit higher on my ear? At it's most compressed level, the SR-404LE's I recently bought fit decent but always feel like they are just a tad low on my ear and so I'm always wanting to push them up a bit or otherwise try and further tighten the fit/hang. There's simply no more room to adjust them any tighter/shorter. I've thought about using some sort of non-permanent/non adhering foam under the leather headband to bring them a bit further up on my ear but still not sure how that might work.
  16. Listening to this now. Thanks for the tip. Pretty neat new music. Love her throaty voice... that bit from KEXP is pretty amazing ...
  17. Bobby Bare Jr. An amazing talent.
  18. Thanks for that; great listen and indeed highly reminiscent of Sea Changes; also just pre ordered on Amazon ...
  19. Please pardon the rapid fire, multi-posts but I only get a chance to really listen (and drink alcohol) and contribute on the weekends of any given week ... and so ... And this weekend is turning more and more metal by the minute (how's that for alliteration? Eh?) ;-) ... ,... ASG - Young and Innocent ... ... rock.
  20. The Elves - Buckingham Blues Live 08.16.1972 (I love Ronnie James (Dio) .. may he writhe in peace! .. but it's the guitar tones in this certain bit that get me. Such sick ass guitar tone! Pardon the 240p youtube. But tone is beyond digital measurement and so...) ... ...
  21. fuck yeah.
  22. Oddly, a cover of Soft Cel's early 80's hit, "tainted love" ... only played by 5.25" floppy disc drives. LOL ... ... (and the geeks shall inherit the earth) ;-)
