  1. Thanks Brent.  I know literally nothing about noise cancelling headphones.  Been reading but didn't see wirecutter.  Thank You!

Of course you don't know this grandson has a short arm (aka no hand) on the left.   IEMs were my first thought but as talented as he is with one hand I couldn't see how that would work.  I'll let me daughter know.

  2. Can't believe I'm resurrecting such an old thread.

My 4 year old grandson needs noise cancelling headphones.  Apparently he has issues with loud environments.  I looked at the sony wh1000xm2 but that doesn't look like something that will fit a 4 year old well.  Considering how they would be handled might not be a wise choice anyway.

    Any help appreciated.

  3. Stretch has the Elite.  I have the Advantage.  Like all pellet poppers the Memphis is great for low & slow cooking and for smoking.  Not so great at grilling.  The flame insert helps, but the other night when I made a steak it was put on at 225 to smoke it, wrapped in foil while the the Memphis heated to maximum temp, swapped in the flame insert and finished the steak.

If you have time the Memphis can work for grilling, but there are better options.  Another alternative is to have the Elite with natural gas grill.  Have all your bases covered :)

  5. I was on two panels but rejected both times by the defense attorney.  I'm okay with that.  Ran into him on the street after the last jury selection and he told me the reason he rejected me was I was too sure of myself and would influence the jury.  I am okay with that as well.

  6. Just found out a friend of mine died 1/1/19.  George Vuillemot was a good ole boy.  Lived life his way and lived it to the fullest.  82 years young when he died.

He was a bat boy for the Chicago Cubs and had several autographs.  No doubt valuable but to him they were priceless memories.  Raced cars on dirt tracks into his 70s.  I met George when I needed a dog trainer.  We developed a good and long lasting friendship.  He trained the famous line of Smith English Setters for many years.  Tough as nails and could out work me in his 60s even though there is a 16 year difference in our ages.  Heart of gold.  I'll have to look for the setter painting he gave me tonight as I have it stored away as a memory of him.

I will toast George properly when I get home tonight. RIP in my friend.  May all the dogs you run be Field Champions and may you win every race.
