After a day of collecting maple sap and getting ready to boil some syrup tomorrow, Claire and I and Doug and Erika had dinner at Farm Club and are now attending the mixed double national curling championship in Traverse City!

Richard Lewis is dead at 76 after battling Parkinsons for several years. He looked terribly I'll the last couple of seasons of Curb but I'm so glad he had that vehicle for the last phase of his career. 😢 RIP to a comedy legend.

I haven't done any real woodworking for awhile but I started a protect yesterday and it feels good to be back in the shop. Steve and I are making two walnut bedside tables for my sisters in law. The design is based on the one shown below that I found online, although our design is taller and narrower.
So far I have cut long walnut boards into short boards and then cut domino mortises so I could glue up wider boards. I ended up with ten panels and a number of other pieces for the sides and base. I also managed to slam a dead blow mallet onto my left hand index finger. Not sure if the nail will stay on. 😖

RIP Apollo. Liked his role in the Mandolorian but didn't know he also directed some of those episodes and various other TV shows. 76 seems too young these days, especially given that I'm over 60!
