If you only rode the Creo around a parking lot or something, it isn't a realistic picture of using assist on a real ride. I thought I could cruise up to Stretch's place on my Turbo Vado SL peddling around the lot around the bike shop but didn't feel a anything like that after going up lesser hills. I don't know what assist level the Creo has but mine is only 2.5 X whereas lots of ebikes are much higher.

That sucks, but I do love the quote in that article that he died "a after a long struggle with life." My friends' band that I managed for a time used to play Sex Bomb as an encore, especially at parties. RIP Mr Loose

The Mavericks are annoying. The crocs are truly epic.

A couple of pies for dinner with friends from across the street. One with Mexican chorizo, red onion, corn and jalapeño, over cheddar, mozzarella and topped with grated cotija, which was the clear winner. The other with pepperoni, shaved fennel, mushrooms, and fresh basil grown by the neighbors over mozzarella, which was tasty but more basic. Working with a shitty oven and a pizza stone instead of a pizza steel was a handicap, but it worked out fine.

Have a good ride Nate!

That's the one I was assuming you would look at. Too much money but the S-Works Creo 2 looks sick.

I don't really know much about gravel bike, but is choosing a gravel bike more limiting or does it give you more options because they are equally good on the road? If it were my first bike when trying to get into it, I would definitely want it to be comfortable as a road bike. I'm assuming that local clubs are more likely to have road rides, but I also don't have a clue if that assumption is correct. Regardless, I can't see why you would buy anything without pedal assist. Speaking from experience, it will allow you to ride more and longer, but it also will encourage you to do it more often. It looks like the Diverge is as much or more than Specialized ebike options. Just a lazy man's two cents, fwiw.

Especially with the speaker wire camouflaged on the legs and the table.

We've watched all four episodes and it's fun. But I have some kind of bumpy rash on the back of my neck and I'm concerned something is going to pop out and kill me.

Having had shingles years ago, I cannot think of a reason for you to wait for the vaccine (especially assuming you have had chicken pox). I had zero reaction to it and feel better knowing that I shouldn't have to go through shingles again. I still haven't gotten the RSV shot but also haven't had RSV. 🤷🏻♂️

Ottolenghi's cheeseball lemon rice with chile butter, which is very much as it sounds and is delicious as well. Served with grilled asparagus for a delightful vegetarian meal.
