jp11801 Posted July 22, 2017 Report Posted July 22, 2017 I was really interested in this at first and held off, having listened to the Tidal stream of the record I am generally impressed. It fucks with a masterpiece but is a really goo modern take IMO. Anyone here own the record or the ridiculous deluxe $100+ version with DVD and Blu ray? I am interested in any gains with the 24/96 but not sure I want to spend the cash on it unheard.

For me, that's one of the greatest albums of all time and had I the extra fundage, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on the deluxe version. I also think that I'd cringe at any changes whatsoever but that's just me.
recstar24 Posted July 22, 2017 Report Posted July 22, 2017 Call me old fashioned but I just can't get over the perfection of the 2014 vinyl mono mastering - you hear everything perfectly balanced and it is as authentic to the original release and artist's vision as you can get.
