Looking to add in the Ack Dack 1.2e using my EMU0404 as transport..with my n_maher M^3 w/steps amplifying my W5000's or K340's. Any idea how it will do in my system? I haven't heard one, but I've read good things. Any opinions are appreciated.

The Ack Dack is a DC area favourite. I'm probably the only one who's never owned one.

well, i guess there is only one way to find out. Just sent payment for it.

I owned for a while using a 0404 as transport with a PPX3-6CG7 behind it. It's a definite improvement over the sound card if that's what you want to know. I'd describe the sound as detailed and somewhat laid-back (compared to an Entech unit anyways).

The Ack Dack will be a substantial improvement over using the 0404s analog outs.
