I have the L700 MkII and I find the headband pressure too high.

I wonder if the original L700 headband would lessen the pressure as the 

“arm” of the forks are a straight construction without the bend at the bottom in the MkII model.

Any “swithers” between the too models heamdband ?

 

 

I've put Mk2 forks on a Mk1 but the pressure has never bothered me.  You can bend the arc a bit on these but don't take it too far.

The arc looks like plastic -  perhaps warming up with a hair dryer before bending.

Does 009 have the same metal core in plastic?

Yes, they have an identical headband it's not as strong as the 007 arcs which can be bent back and forth.
