Bose buys McIntosh, storied maker of high-end luxury audio equipment.

Macintosh alas sold its soul to the Private Equity devil. And that means that they take as much money out while they own it, and then sell it.

So it is no surprise at all that they flogged Macintosh/Sonus Faber to a company who would buy it and maximise their profit. Hence Bose.
