AKG New Headphones annouced

Looks like they've refreshed their studio line of headphones. My first "big boy" headphones was the K271 S. I still have a soft spot for it. Might be interesting to hear the new K 272 HD. As far as closed headphones go, the K271 S was pretty darn good for the $150-200 price tag.

No respect for AKG from me until they announce the return of K1K (MkII?) or an electrostat. :mikey2:

everyone @ h43d-f1 is hanging on for the K702 that is apparently coming

IIRC, there were no real changes in going from K271 to K272HD, aside from use of velour pads, slightly different cosmetic, and non-detachable cord.

I doubt that'll happen as I suspect it'll cost them (Harma Kardon) too much money for little return.

The argument had been waged for a while now. Why would AKG replace a headphone that is still selling well? They were having a hard time keeping up with demand, it just doesn't make much economical sense.

Hey, I'd love to hear a 702 (I'm still fond of the 701), but I just don't see it happening yet.

Welcome to like 2 months ago?

I realize that it is old news, but I didn't see any mention here of the press release, so I thought I'd post it.
