well, i just tried pulling the stock chip and only installing the 1GB stick that I have, I lasted less than 2 minutes before crashing.

On topic, does the MAC mini use the same RAM? I looked online briefly at it appears to, in which case I'd have another kind offer of RAM to try which clearly wouldn't hurt my feelings.
